Toddlers make great shields.
Tuesday, 16 October 2007

Toddlers make the best human shields, except for the fact that cops will still shoot them with a taser.

U.S. Runs out of credit
Sunday, 30 September 2007

The U.S. government finally ran the country into its maximum allowed debt.  Congress is now in the process of increasing our debt allowance so that we can borrow more foreign money for things such as the Iraq war.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - With the U.S. government fast approaching its current $8.965 trillion credit limit, the Senate on Thursday gave final congressional approval of an $850 billion increase in U.S. borrowing authority.

The Senate voted 53-42 to raise the debt ceiling to $9.815 trillion, the fifth increase in the U.S. credit limit since President George W. Bush took office in January 2001. The U.S. House of Representatives approved the higher debt limit earlier this year as part of the overall budget resolution and the legislation now goes to Bush for his signature.

Woot sold out
Wednesday, 12 September 2007
Woot.com, the famous website for 1 item, 1 day sales has finally sold out. To Yahoo! Now whether or not this is good or not remains to be seen, I guess we'll find out here over the next few weeks whether it turns to garbage, or whether deals get better. If they stick to the same marketing plan, and widen their sales basis this does have the potential to offer buyers even lower rates. It is possible though that Yahoo! will keep it the same open their market a little more and just go for profit.
